Mixed day, mended a couple of WC's, then fitted a LPG changeover valve, next job was back in farm to load Wheat......forgot the photo :banghead:
Then this turned up :)

Then finished the day filling a bit of dyke in :whistle:

but ran out of material before I reached the end :(

I was doing a little bit of welding. I was nearly done and there was a big bang followed by bits of plastic and liquid falling to the floor and against my leg..

I had failed to notice that one of the team had popped a 12v battery under the work bench and had brought the charger over to charge it up.

Battery exploded..acid splashed about..luckily I was properly protected but my land cruiser in ws for some work may become speckled. . Ears still ache..

I did similar with a angle grinder, top blew up and hit me in the chest, made a mess of the clothes, developed a lot of holes at the next wash :rolleyes:

The scariest one so far was using the angle grinder and set fire to a box of crow bangers, forgot I'd left them beside the bench, the noise and the smoke was biblical, initially thought the oxygen/acetylene bottles had caught, quickest I've ever got out of the workshop :whistle:

It's homemade. Bought it from the contractor who built it probably 8 or 9 years ago. He was upgrading to a super chaser. 5 grand well spent.. Stack them 7 high it just squeezes and lifts. 2x 6 strings on a layer or 3x 4 strings. It's not keen on hay but brilliant for straw. We have changed the wheels and the axles will need changing soon there's a small bend.

I cleared about 90 acres of wheat and barley stacks this afternoon mostly close to the barn. Only got out of the tractor to chat to my brother who was stacking in the barn and to take a few photos.

Dodson Contractors around here use similar chasers, all made by them. Very effective and quick. (y)

Thats what our 'boys land' does to them, can't see any point in changing them yet as they still plough okay, would rather have some heavier land though (y)
