As above is your linseed combining ok or as difficult as always?

Easy enough when it isn't actualy raining

Got a few hours in this afternoon and cut about 40t which is enough to fill dryer at least now

Hope to do similar tomorrow

It's wet though

The ground or the seed? I rubbed a sample out and it didnt feel bad - yellow linseed always seems to feel a bit slimy compared to brown.

Seed that's wet but it's coming off now before it chits regardless, if we can get it through the machine we are cutting it now. We are well set up to dry it

Ground isn't silly wet here - we have not had massive qty of rain this last 2 months more just unusual frequency like every day or every other day at best

Soon as land is clear it will be drilled direct with the 750a - if combine driver was not also my drill driver we would be following the combine with the drill today !

on again at 11 this morning - rain forecast at 5pm so dont think we will get done - probably just under 100ac to go now

I fell lucky. Got mine done on august bank holiday. Can in at 12% and got 20500 kg of 20 acres. It's wasn't quite ripe in the stem so balled up a bit but got it done in an afternoon. Just burnt the last of the straw today been sodding damp!

Couldn't you jump on either the combine or drill yourself:whistle:

I could if I wasn't already doing 3 other jobs I guess

Think we will manage regardless - job always gets done eventually and I'm in not rush to start drilling this year

Logistically it's a lot easier for us to focus on one job at a time but hot that job as hard and fast as we can
