Anyone have any experience with the transaxle failures on Gator 855Ds?

We have one here which suddenly stopped driving, it will pull itself along with the front axle and also with the diff-lock lever in.....but normal nothing happens?

Anyone any clues to a weak spot inside or anything worth checking before I take off the big bits?

In not that familiar with these machines but at a blind guess...

I would be checking the rear half shafts and also the splines inside the rear hubs.

If all those are ok then yes, diff issues.

What does the difflock do? Locks the axle or a transfer case? Does it have a prop? Does the rear prop spin when it’s actually not moving? Do the props have splined couplings similar to atvs? Otherwise it sounds as already mentioned, a wheel spline or half shaft

This is what we discovered! so a 'relatively' cheap fix. Thankfully.
