Fair play to you you run any other classics? It was bought in 1991....just over 22000hrs now. Big percentage of those were pto hours.
New engine fitted in '04...the old block went porous...mixing the oil and water...was a fault in that block. Everything else on it is original...
Nothing too new around our place but not quite classic yet...'00 8360, '02 TM150 and a 03 TM155...between 12k and 14k hours on themFair play to you you run any other classics?
takes a good farmer to look after a tractor and get a lot of use out of it....
Or maybe they have their head screwed on and putting their money into assets that appreciate not depreciate !We call it tight ....................
You have too much muck in and the floor chain will surely snap.It looks "heavy" type of muck aswell.Better to put less in and keep it working,or you will end up graiping the load out by hand.View attachment 596108 1969 DB880 with an (early 60s?) David Brown Albion mk3 spreader
It looks worse than it is. It's 2 year old muck so it's actually quite crumbly sort of stuff. That might have been a few big crusty bits on top. It is a tough little machine for its age. I spread stuff in the spring with a lot more fresh straw muck and silage in it (smaller loads then) with no problems. You have too much muck in and the floor chain will surely snap.It looks "heavy" type of muck aswell.Better to put less in and keep it working,or you will end up graiping the load out by hand.
Yes the 35 suits the loader well. The cable is just for a set of tail lights on the spreader. I work full time, so most of my farm work is done in the evenings, often finishing in the dark. That view takes me back to the 70s. We had a Massey Harris land drive followed by a Massey 19 pto driven - a revolution. I snapped the floorchains on the Massey once...and spent a morning digging it out...The 35 is a great little loading tractor with reverse and 4th gears in just the right places for quick shunting
Andy, whats the black cable for bottom left of the last photo?
Sweet little tractor.Used 365 days a year....i think it earns it keep!View attachment 596584
No, he did it that way so he can plug the top back on. Home made lift off cab.And left stumps so the pillars might grow again .................
Actually on the far side at the back the stump offers a handy little pocket to push blue paper towel in...also the rope for the trip on the scraper ties around it...forgot I had worked all that out before I cut...You're making it sound like I give it a lot of thought!
I know this is a bit late! but I ran one of those balers for a while badged as a galligani who made them, front half based on Welger, to get round patents back half chain and slat. later versions badged as fixed chamber NH and Case I think. Is it by any chance based on a welgar?
