just out off interest do any think prices will spike post Brexit in 2019
nice one..."I'm voting Brexit as my mate says I'll get 10% more for my wheat"
"I'm not buying any new machinery as the price has gone up 10%"
You couldn't make it up ....
voted Brexit ? Get your wallet out and pay up..
nice one...
i never voted for brexit from a farming point of view i voted coz this whole EU thing is corrupt & all wrong.
we shouldnt be told what we can n cant do from euroland
i think we have all learned to forgive n forget by now surely WW2 for instance & have the uttermost respect for most of the euro countries. but i think we can manage our own affairs thankyou & borders etc etc.... so stuff em
You sound like the British media, all doom and gloom, i think it will be the best thing thats happened in this country since the magna carta. Just trying to be possessive, world trade and all that, more doors should open, i do agree, we need the right people to drive it forward, not sure our prime minister is that person, willing to be proved wrong.Except after Brexit we still don't manage our own affairs, we just replace one lot of beaurocrats for another.. how often has an EU directive been gold plated by our own when set into British law...
Slight twist to this then, assuming a purchase is made, 3 year finance or only purchase if you have the funds to write the cheque ?
I'll be quiet happy if my gloomy forecast is proved wrong. It suits my sanity for much of life if I start with low expectations and be pleasently surprised rather than have high expectaions and end up bitterly disappointed...You sound like the British media, all doom and gloom, i think it will be the best thing thats happened in this country since the magna carta. Get it on 0%for as long as you can 1+2 I’ve been quoted by Deere
Well I dropped my prices 3 years ago and have kept them their. As the BREXIT negotiations flounder on, the pound will probably weaken further (last weeks interest rate rise was probably aimed at strengthening the pound) so I am afraid machinery prices will increase. Some products we import have gone up by 20% since the BREXIT vote and we have had to absorb some of that.
I hear the 'Well buy British cry" but many British machines incorporate a lot of imported components, and they will increase in price.
well said sir... are you the original Subby Maker by any chance ???W
Well I dropped my prices 3 years ago and have kept them their.
The city has been pushing the value of the pound making manufacturing in the UK uneconomic and they have much to answer for. We have a two speed Britain. I am convinced manufacturing will return as imported goods get dearer and farming will benefit in the long run.
Spot on that man.well said sir... are you the original Subby Maker by any chance ???
i thought you were... bloody good subbys mind.... ive a classic 3 leg one here with what looks like a narrowed rear roller approx 2.5mSpot on that man.

yep it has to happen things are double what they were 10years ago it has to stop.... can anyone see our end products doubling in the near future i cant.... were all running with so little margins & none at all now its a tipping point.. some cant see this can they... we all cant double or triple our business sizes to some how make things add up. But does it add up ? in any case i think the smaller ones might just see things come right yet... (I hope)Nah, don't think so. Machinery prices are going to have to come down a lot. Or have yards full of expensive unsold stock. 2 choices.
Are you using the right shear-bars? Yes the points with leg guards help with leg wear but need more pulling and I do make an auto-reset.i thought you were... bloody good subbys mind.... ive a classic 3 leg one here with what looks like a narrowed rear roller approx 2.5m
it does a good job tho. only thing id change is make it autoreset somehow... shearpins are a good idea but shear too easily !! & i go steady with it 2.5-3mph thats it & around 13" deep all the time. Now use SUMO one piece point with leg shielding i find them the best & no dearer than any others. Did you ever make an AutoReset one ?? away too look on your website now ive found it !!
Wasn't thinking tractors, more the £20k ish sort of stuff
AFAIK iam using the right shear bars/pins? just get them from same dealer who sells SUMO machines. each time ive bought them they seem different tho. they are correct width for the holes anyways if that helps. Are you using the right shear-bars?
