Couple of jobs that weren't on my list this morning, a mate rang and asked if I'd put his farm truck back together. So it was another job someone else had stripped!

Thanks,
my mates pug has the 2.0 mi16 engine running on big throttle bodies, in sure he said it's about 230hp which is mor than enough for a 205! It is quick when it's not spinning the wheels

Its actually a rare little car that, laser green with no sunroof.
So it’s got the 2.0 Mi16? Cast iron block?

Congratulations on your new ‘project ‘ :)

Thanks,
not sure on the full engine specs to be honest, I know it was originaly used in the 405 and superseded the 1.9gti engine when they went from 8valves to 16valve (mi16) and gave it another 35horse in standard form.
Can't really say what else this ones had done, pretty sure it's got up rated cams as well as the throttle bodies.
I'd love to get my hands on a T16 really (y)

Well, who wouldn’t want a T16! Lottery money now though I expect

I would think it’s most probably a aluminium block Mi, they were 1.9, only the last of the Mi16 were 2.0 and were cast iron blocks iirc, but the extra weight kinda negated the marginal extra power, and weren’t a popular option to transplant into a 205. But I’m sure it was done by some?

I wish I had time to play.....:(

I'll find out which it is, probably is the 1.9 I just presumed it was a 2.0!
