It's my first year driving a forager and I'm currently operating a 2012 950 Jaguar. The sharpening stone needs re adjusting as its now hardly touching the knives, the machine has been imported and I don't have the manual which doesn't help. Would anyone be able shed some light on how to do it please? would be very grateful, thanks

There is a half turn lock peg on the side of the carrier .
Unlock it and wind the stone out until the peg drops on to a pre set hole in the carrier this will
Lock the carrier from turning and allow you , using the winding tool, slacken the top half of the carrier this releases the clamp
On the stone.
Lower the stone till
It just short of the blades as when you tighten he top
Half of the carrier it clamps the stone again but may push it down slightly also so you don't want to be touching before you clamp it or it will clatter the stone first sweep across.
Finally unlock the lock
Peg half a turn as the carrier has to turn again to
Wind down as the stone wears.

Thank you very much, much appreciated. To lower the stone do you have to take the stone out and move the rubber bands around as I've seen this done before?

No just give the stone a gentle tap from above to knock it down... if the stone is more than half way down through the carrier you want to get an old stone that's worn down and put that in the top of the carrier to hold everything tight

Having been in your situation a few years ago, I would if I were you get your local class dealer to run you through a few things like resetting the blades if needed and adjusting sharpening stone, you can join 2 old stones together with masonry glue, but this is not advised by the dealers, I certainly wouldn't put one on top of the old one and hope it all stays tight, but that's your decision, keep the error code page open as you will need it fairly often till you get used to codes and lights

Use a wooden block instead of the old stone, if it breaks and goes up through the machine it won’t put a big hole in the tower or the blower.

Never heard that one before... been using old stones for years and never had a problem.. heard of people glueing them together but never using a block of wood

Spoke to the boss man, manual is on it’s way apparently! Anything to watch out for on the 950’s? How often do you lot sharpen? I’ve got it set to 30 cycles and normally do about 4 lots of 30 a day?
