We currently have 2 broadband lines coming into the farm. One for parents farmhouse and the other for the farm office which is also wired by ethernet cable to my cottage next door. Speed is about 2mbps. Gigaclear is currently putting fibre past the farm and promising fantastic speeds etc. Minimum tariff is about £40 a month with about £200 installation/ connection for ‘up to’ 50 mbps.

Could we connect office and both houses to one line hence spread the cost 3 ways? Have read somewhere they they can ‘look’ down the line to see how many devices are connected?

That’s good news. Many thanks for the advice all. Will be a big change from the 2 meg we get now (which I know is better than some get)
