Silage price

How do you arrive at that Slurry and fertiliser @£3ooper ton represent a bale cost £5to6 plus mowing £1-20 and baling £2-30 all assuming 10 bales per acre not including rental equivalent and any establishment cost ie seed harrowing etc. after all price is what you can get on the day if the weather does not settle soon prices could be good for quality produce yer pays yer money and takes yer chance.

Cost circa £18 bale to cut/ ted/ rake bail/ grass keep/ haulage etc.. so Knock off £2 haulage plus the cost of wrap aka £2.20 ish a bale + £2.20 to wrap/ stack = a net worth of silage of @ £11. 60 top whack depending on quality
