How do you mean cheaper?
Hold the front brake on hard, blip the throttle, up you go ............
But they can be dangerous, especially if you lean on the tank thinking its going to go around an obstacle, it wont.

We bought it from neighbours (20 years ago) who replaced it with a Honda 400 quad. The 400 used over twice the fuel!

This one had cost very little to run and we have no hills so it's fairly safe.

Glued this together yesterday it seems to work ok manitou brackets one side JCB the other.

I had some weights lying around on an old A frame so decided to make up another front box big enough to take my tray testing gear whilst fert spreading as I'm fed up chucking it in and out the hopper so started off with some bits and pieces and ended up with something useful

I started with a Reekie bedformer frame cut an old tombstone weight in half and got some new 6mm sheet for the box
