Good morning everyone

I am a thirty two year old gentleman from Carlton Colville in Suffolk and I have lived in the area all of my life.
I have been engaged in the hobby of metal detecting for the last few Years and find it a healthful, enjoyable pastime that allows me to meet many interesting people. Plus the thrill of finding old coins, buttons, etc. is very rewarding to me.

I am sure you are aware of the rich and varied past of this area and I was hoping that there is some very kind person out there that would allow me to continue learning by granting me permission to use a metal detector on there land? I am also currently a full member of the national council for metal detecting and have public liability insurance cover up to the value of £10,000,000.

I want you to understand that I always respect the property that I search and leave it in the same condition that I found it. Normally the targets are no deeper than 4 or 5 inches and I retrieve them such that the ground appears not to be disturbed.

In addition, I would like to offer my services to you. Perhaps you or someone you know has lost a valuable ring, a cache or a farm tool. I would be willing to assist just for the thrill of the search. I would be happy to meet with you if further discussion is required.

Kind regards

Dan smith

£10,000,000 is pretty impressive - hence the question!

Its the minimum most Councils/Large landowners will accept.
Also covers us for our Secret Anorak AKA: Club Meetings in buildings & when we do community stuff etc.
Its £8 a year per member, and they also get 4 colour mags and exciting freebies like sew on badges....so we can recognise each other!! :ROFLMAO: :shifty::eek::)
The NCMD pay a "per capita" rate to the insurer.... that goes up & down relative to claims/risk same as most insurance. (y)
