Bitof a bad start to calving, lost 2 big bull calves.
Things are looking better now. Bull calf but only needed a littke pull as I was there.

Yeah ik. Just have to make sure none of the rest go downhill or such.
well a bit of a mixed load
picked these bins up for @Devon James and delivered them managed to creep into Devon and out again alive
and collected some fodder beet from a very nice man @Ridgnfurrow
and a lorry load of shotgun shells
just got back in this morning and disturbed this little s.o.b
and surprised 8 magpies all in a huddle there is less now

Makes you feel terrible but there really is often nothing you can do to help, we had a bull to butcher this week as he had a blocked piddler with a kidney stone as far as I could tell.
Sucked having to slam the door on him, really it did, but after seeing what was going on in there I know it was the right thing to do.
It is always difficult but only because we care.

Hopefully this picture won't be upsetting to anyone.
You can see all the bruised meat from the damaged penis, he was filling up with his urine.
Not very nice at all, but the meat will do ok for dogs once cooked.
Pardon all the hack-marks, I'm a tidy butcher when it doesn't all smell of widdle.
