Idiots guide to Milwaukee.....

Was having a hunt around yesterday for a few milwaukee prices as needing a multitool and grinder and though to throw in a drill and driver as current ones on last legs. Don't think Powertoolmate can be beaten for prices, probably SGS engineering a close second.

Some companies like ITS are hugely dearer - no idea who buys off them!

Multi tool? is that the little 12 volt demel type die grinder thing??? My cordless demel is next to useless now as its old and the battery has had it so this will probably be the next tool I buy. hardly use it but its really handy to have and worth its weight in gold when cleaning out a burred over internal circlip grove.

I think those are all the older brush motor ones, go for the brushless fuel ones, they are far better

Thats more of a cheaper diy drill than the heavy brushed version of the time. Plus the original brushed grinder. These are all old stock i dont think milwaukee actually make them anymore? They would be okay for light use but if you want decent gear buy the latest models with the drill they do several brushless ones all varying in spec and price. I think the top spec has ffp in the part number?

I just bought a few things and the cheapest place is Powertoolmate. Cross reference those products on Powertoolmate and you will probably get the brushless versions cheaper.

ie Fuel driver is around £80, Fuel Drill £100 an and Fuel Grinder £129. Just get the £30 charger and one 5ah battery to start for £50 and see how you get on as you may find one battery enough. Easy enough to get another the next day for £50.

For £350 you'll have the top spec drill, driver and grinder with one battery

p.s. just checked it out. Thats top spec stuff where the efficiency for motors is meant to be better ie battery last longer.
