The little piggies that came In last Wednesday have settled in well.

The sheep have finally moved so I've got a bit of ground to chuck some muck about on, every year I get frustrated with the sheep holding me up and every year I have them back again[emoji22]

There’s a number of reasons I let the customer try and get I welded rather than me doings it, distortions is just one reason, also the fact they completely changed the way the new manifolds are cast to compensate for the weight of the turbo, so I wanted to fit the updated one really then I know it’s right.
He wanted to try welding it as it’s over £700 for a new one, trouble is it’s always going to be a week point so wouldn’t have lasted long even if he’d don’t it right.

Wouldn't have though it would be worth trying to weld it if he's paying you to fix his tractor. Just end up spending more money in the long run if you have to do the job twice. Suppose some people can't be told:rolleyes::banghead:

They think it’s a cheap fix till the turbo drops off and rattles round under the bonnet, probably on the busiest day of the year and does twice as much damage!
A new manifold ordered today so job sorted (y)

I saw a piece of iron stuck in a quickcoupler, other side revealed a nasty surprise.
I bought a pallet of hydraulic motors from which this is a part, so not used them yet, but I hope that they aren't all dickered...

Lots of silage out today.
Enough for 4 days in the big smoke, then will sneak home and put more out.View attachment 632096 View attachment 632098 View attachment 632100
Seems to keep quite well against a fence if I heap it up, and put a wire over it so the cattle don't lie on it.View attachment 632102 View attachment 632104
Fed the lambs - quite surprised just how much of a pick there is in these older paddocks (especially where the cattle were on it grinding it in, the greener bit)View attachment 632106
Few bits and bobs coming through at lastView attachment 632108

Oasis!

Shot back home today to flick out some more silage and was shocked how it's come away down here.
Good green pick everywhere (y)
Think I will wrap up silage feeding soon and sheet her over, but won't count my chicks, 3 inches of rain has grown 3 inches of grass and that doesn't go far with the stocking rate!
