We haven’t had our payment yet nor any sign of communication from the rpa and certainly no sign of a partial payment

Also waiting for quite a lot of HLS money. Had a girl ring up the other day checking we are getting on ok farming under scheme rules. Poor girl I gave her f**k down the phone. She brought it on herself by talking about paying 7months late as if it’s fine. When I told her that I wouldn’t get on very well if I didn’t pay my bills for months she didn’t have an answer and said she will look into it. Needless to say I’ve not heard anything back from her either

I am going to have to sit in a dark room as I think I am going mad.
I looked on my RPA site to see if there was any progress on BPS payment and imagine my amazement when I see lots of new lines added under the claims.

While 2017 is once again under Claim Validation, having been preparing for payment for weeks, for some crazy reason 2016 has reappeared and is Preparing for Payment.
Do you think they are going to pay me 2016 again?

I too looked in at the RPA website yesterday evening. I am involved with several BPS claims. I too noticed the addition of 2015 and 2016 claims. Preparing for payment I have come to assume in effect is RPA terminology for 'paid'. Let us know if you get paid for the 2016 a second time - never know more bizarre things have happened. While you wait in frustration just to say I am involved with around 50 claims - yesterday five were still at claim validation. One has changed from claim validation to preparing for payment since I last looked the previous Friday. Those five have mapping issues or were subject to inspections during 2017. Whisky might help!!??

The same thing shows on mine.

Has anyone tried speaking to someone at the RPE on the phone about their claim or is it just a total waste of time.
I probably know the answer to that! [emoji36]

A complete waste of time and effort. Being housebound I thought I would try to get through yesterday and spent half an hour in a queue and when I did get to speak to someone they could tell me absolutely nothing.
I got the impression they have scaled back the staff and are now waiting until the end of March when they have said they will pay 75% on account.
I did suggest that they should have done that at the end of January!!

Yes, concur with that comment. I have spoke with RPA helpline staff who as ever are polite but have nothing positive to contribute in so far as being able to say when outstanding 2017 claims will be progressed. Equally concerning is lack of observable activity on outstanding 2016 claim errors and short payments. As we approach the 2018 claim year my concern is staff will be deployed onto the 2018 claims process. The lack of being able to find out what is happening is just so very frustrating. Hey ho.

Is there any way a multi farmer court proceeding could be put in to action or are they within the law on this. Seems to me that they must have crossed some sort of deadline by now on some of these. Would surely make them pull the finger out

2016 and before yes they are , 2017 got till June unfortunalty , interest should have been put on amounts owed from 16 and before , in our case they have not.

Still nothing at all. Phoned yesterday to ask when they were going to stop sending mapping changes through as I have had 15 messages so far and in excess of 50 field parcel changes!!

Lady was helpful but suggested waiting before I sent back an RLE1 form until closer to the time the application period comes out for 2018 BPS!!
I then asked her about my 2017 payment and suggested that everything seems to have slowed down. To which she replied that they will be making bridging payments to all those not paid in April, the amount was not disclosed!

I said it appears that there is not the same number of people now working on BPS as there was and she declined to comment. So it looks as if they have reduced the staff to very few and a dog!!

reduced the staff to very few

Nail on head , they think they have been very good getting a lump sum paid out in December , the rest of us is not an issue to be made waiting

I’m still waiting on service review and when that fails an appeal, all this was started way back in July and not heard a thing.
Considering it was the RPA that told me I was eligible to claim for what I did back in 2015, it’s taking me a long time to get my money back that I had to lay out to get into BPS !.
