Anyone tried/seen one?
There’s an article about it in this months Farmers Guide
From the picture in Farmers Guide it looks like it's pretty high disturbance for a direct drill
Obviously someone from the Claas combine marketing department has joined Triton! That article was the most audacious load of bullsh*t I have ever read. It's utterly laughable. Direct drilling in December into heavy clay at 20mph and getting 11.7t/ha.....!
Looks like there is a firming tine at the back that runs between the seeding tines mounted at the front. The firming tine is tapered to press sideways, presumably this helps to close the slot left by the seeding tine, this extra row of tines explains the relative high HP required versus other direct tine based drills. The seed boot looks interesting and I believe it has some kind firming time running behind, but not sure, I’ve not yet looked at the article
Don't forget that apparently it will also eradicate blackgrassThat article was the most audacious load of bullsh*t I have ever read. It's utterly laughable. Direct drilling in December into heavy clay at 20mph and getting 11.7t/ha.....!
You’d of thought they’d scratch some out and show rather than say they’re there. As above, they keep mentioning what conditions it will work in and showing videos of drilling in mud. Never see a time lapse or follow up video of crop! Might not even have seed in hopper for all we know watching video..
