How many zones? What flooring will you lay? Be very careful about differential expansion at the change between zones. We are on hard tiles throughout and have cracking between most zones. We still love the underfloor though.View attachment 644454
Had a good day on the underfloor heating

a lot more fiddly than the standard as you have to plan pipe runs very carefully, especially into cupboards and around door frames

You’ve gone to a hell of a lot of effort just to put it on the fire.
I have five zones in mine and it is the best thing I have done. floor covered in Karndean (?) and no problems with expansion.Oh, and try to include somewhere to dry wet gear/washing (either a single radiator or a small drying room as it's a bit awkward to dry stuff by laying it on the warm floor ).
PLEASE tell me that's a joke
I was told to pressurise the pipes with compressed air before the final screed to get the joints to bed in.View attachment 644454

Joints? There should be no joints in the pipework, just asking for trouble! Use a single length of pipe for each zone, only joints should be at the manifold, not under the screed.I was told to pressurise the pipes with compressed air before the final screed to get the joints to bed in.
Not sure if this is useful or not.
Yes, joints at manifold and expanding the pipe slightly so less likely to crack screed / floor tiles in future.Joints? There should be no joints in the pipework, just asking for trouble! Use a single length of pipe for each zone, only joints should be at the manifold, not under the screed.
