Strong money for a really old rear wheel steer but It does look very straight. The seat might even be original.

Been looking at that one (it was the one I saw that first made me think about possibly going telehandler - they have a couple of others I have been looking at to compare prices etc.

I would look for a Matbro. Still quite a few round here working for a living and parts are readily available. Got a tr 250-110 pivot steer here and love it. They are strong easy to work on and parts are easily obtained. What’s more you should find one within your budget.

Be very unstable with the boom up in air as the pivot point is quite high after that looks ok
Does seem enough money but they just keep going.I've got one almost identical, doesn't do much these days but I'm loathe to get rid of it cos it's so handy.

I don't think they had a particular stability problem.
He didnt appear to sell Matbro though, appears Manitou, JCB etc, but will have a look.
Depends ,gets some nice trade ins And some not so nice
They were a fast little machine that could punch above weight. They are very old now and would guess spares would be difficult.

Older machines that had a high pivot point are much less stable than newer tyres which have a much lower pivot point. I bought a older manitou for a building site I had and it was a bit dodgy on any slope with the boom up
I take your point but the JCB with reasonably wide front axle and big tyres seemed more stable than some.

My tips: go for a 4 wheel steer (or a pivot) 2ws is a major step backwards
I can heartily recommend Jcb 525-67... ours has done us well...
Or a cat th62.. much more stable than a Jcb and can be better value for money... built like a brick outhouse too !!

Just a bit over budget !!
Looks a decent bit of kit - it does not appear to be for sale on their website now. Also - I assume the dreaded vodka and tonic will have to be added to it.
