I got a job reference fro council though and the chap sounded amused and promising when I told him what the kind fella had done including leaving me his address he was very hopeful of a £1000 prosecution.

Send a recorded delivery letter to the address.
Tell them they have 48hrs to remove 'their' rubbish ( no matter who dumped it ) or the matter will be handed over for prosecution.
Or, just load it up, and deliver it back.

update Kirklees just rung up bit of a funny call.
started all alright except theyd got address as my house and couldn't understand it being on my land at a different location explained I'm a farmer so land all over. she was then quite happy for a prosecution etc then started if its on my land its my problem to dispose of it so I let her go on a bit and said that's all alright Kirklees removed it yesterday so you should have all the evidence get on with the prosecution! shes going to ring "street scene" and see what they know/have collected!
they are useless! as said above should have gone to examiner!!!

Just found around 40 ‘Next’ catalogues dumped in a roadside field .
Each one had the address torn off .
Apart from one , I’ll be reporting this on Monday .
