Prostate cancer

It's probably best to forget about digital self-examination :banghead:. As @emd has written, it is no drama getting a doc' to do it and in a few seconds you'll either be on the first step to sorting a problem out or given a clean bill of health. I'm not a great worrier, but there was a definite feeling of relief when the doc' gave the all clear.

Self examination is, for most folk, virtually impossible/uncomfortable, unless you having a willing partner, some lube & a rubber glove. I`m guessing most livestock boys will have 2 out 3.....and the lucky ones all 3 !!

The examining finger should be inserted with the fingernail side facing the patients back and the finger tip facing the stomach.

Now...if you can do that with your own hand and still retain any semblance and/or ability to feel your prostate then good luck to you!

The prostate naturally feels firm, like the tip of your nose and, like the tip of your nose it also has a "dimple" in the centre.

Now that you have stopped poking your nose with your finger...... :D:D

You would be looking for areas that are harder than the surrounding firm tissue.

Don`t do it.....just go to the GP/Nurse... it took you longer to read this & think about it than the test takes. :)

I should add, and some readers may wish to look away, that massaging the prostate can cause a rather intense orgasm.......... not the sort of thing you want to do in the GP`s surgery.....hence why they are in, feel & out. :)

An acquaintance who was in the Navy said that the port girls who did it for money would often try the dirty finger routine, to hurry one along so as to get to the next client...

FYI, Amazon offer 15 Urinary Tract Infection test strips for under £4. Each strip tests for 10 important parameters for 3p each in under a minute. A small price for early detection of a killer.
