can you get just the bearing for a kvernaland 9578C rake

the cam track comes down with the crown wheel etc its the bearing on the inside of the crown wheel to the centre piece that's gone but kvernaland only want to sell the unit as a whole £1800 obviously kv don't make bearings but can you get the bearing elsewhere? has anyone done it?

also does anyone have a good contact for the aluminium

Of course you can buy it. Measure it up and go to your local bearing shop.
its a project that would be bought in and I don't want to be the 1 at the end of a chain who have all tried it priced the bits then sold it on ...
I have had an odd rake in bits and seen others but most has been cam work (they also wont sell cam bearings separate they are basically pin punched at end to nip bearing on so could be undone) << I will definitely try this!

Is there numbers for the bearings when you look at the legend for that diagram?
If so you can check what availability is like before you strip.

22 VF16609222.94 1 RAKES GEAR WITH OIL I=8,3+1 RAL 3000

that's number 22,
the bearing is in part of that number 22 but I cant get an exploded view of it and cant buy the bearing individually from them

as said above kv don't make bearings so it must be available at what cost??
also that 22 must come to pieces as it was obviously built up by someone.

I just don't want to buy a money pit...

5 KG01477400 11 BALL BEARING 6207-2RS C
23 VF16609576 1 DEEP GROOVE BALL BEARING 6007 2RS C3

they are the shaft bearings not the main bearing

thanks for the reply but its the bearing I'm trying to point out in this not the cam arm bearings < I think that's what you would call them

I do have to replace some cam track bearings as well N20 is the whole piece but I'm hopeing I can get the bearings off and swap just them

I cannot get a proper exploded drawing of this nor will kv price individual bits they say its just the unit which is mega £££

If the bearings are worn what state is the crown wheel and pinion going to be
crown wheel and pinion are good, I'm unsure of what has caused premature failure of the bearing 2 suspects a bit of a faulty bearing which genuinely chewed itself up < they do randomly go not so often on new but ive known balers rarely have a bearing in the 1st season?
2nd suspect someone tried rowing a telegraph pole up and that's why 2 cam arms are missing?

hud bearings are pretty good I use them a lot. as its a "project" to be bought in I want to be quite sure the price of the parts so I don't spend the equivalent value getting it going and end up with my time for nothing, it needs to be cheapish to be worth the risk/work in repairing it.

no apology needed, I didn't want to seam arrogant either with the big arrow but couldn't describe it in words.

It will sort the bearing out, but how do you set the back lash in the crownwheel / pinion?
I'm sure they are tapered bearings on the main shaft?
I see shims on the pinion bearings, so that will help, are they (crownwheel pinion, back lash / pre-load) easily set up after being disturbed?

Maybe am looking at it wrong but how do you know crown wheel and pinion are good if you haven’t stripped it yet?

its stripped already but I haven't purchased it "yet"
I'm pricing the parts up to see if its a viable project ie I'm having a good saving on buying a running machine.
the stumbling block seems to be this main bearing my thoughts were price everything from kv and work costings from there then any spurious parts are my extra saving.

I'm also sceptical as to why the owner isn't mending it, doesn't have time is a bit of a cover up type excuse so I'm going into this with my eyes open ...
