a TC3 I cant have for a few weeks as its at the back of a shed full of hay which he selling now. but I'm quite intrigued to see how its works. can you post some picture when you get it up and running please? what sort of ground are you going into? I'm hoping to go into sprayed off grass in the autumn. they don't have anything to close the slot so would Cambridge rolls after help??

Could you just make a toolbar that goes between tractor and an MF30. Toolbar has 2 or 3 rows of tines that are in line with the disc coulters of the drill. Might need different design of covering harrows on back of the drill.

We have a wide variation of soil types, but it's the heavy end that's to sow. Later, single disc type Coulter. I share your thoughts regarding slot closure, I think we'll run our bomford Dyna drive over first, and roll afterwards.

Not too bad, it was a veritable 80's rewind here last week! Still some oats to sow, but we've drilled some spring beans and wheat with the TC4. 5m Dyna drive, 4m Bettinson, 6m chip harrows, 6m rollers. All bar the dynadrive were pulled by a little MF3075 on fat tyres. (She wont lift the ddrive!) Total value of all implements and tractor £12k. Time taken for total establishment operations 1.5hrs/ha. Fuel about 12l/ha. Cheap if nowt else!
Unfortunately my phone has had to go for a repair, and the camera on this old beast doesn't work anymore.
If there was any tilth at all (been absolutely hammered by rain for 6months) then I think we could miss out the dynadrive, and maybe the chip harrows too. 12ac of oats to sow after a cover crop looks in better fettle.
