Soyl variable n not spreading beyond boundaries

Right.
Been using this for years, been very happy with it.
Until this year.
For some reason I have a field boundary showing now, which is incorrect as it was done with els corners in the fields.
My kverneland geospreader absolutely will not spread outside the fecking boundary so bits of the field are not getting fert.
This is obviously unacceptable, has anyone else had this issue?
Had soyl out today and altered the boundary on some fields, but this won't completely solve the issue as drift means it will sometimes shut off 2m on the outside because it thinks I'm closer than I am.
Soyl say nothing has changed their end. Certainly nothing changed my end.
My feeling is someone at soyl has ticked a box somewhere to include boundaries within the screen.
Never seen a boundary while doing any variable rate fert before. Just the coloured tiles.

Any views, or help, or experiences appreciated as I'm getting a bit annoyed now.

Neighbour says his with tellus go screen will chuck outside the boundary by turning off the section control.
My isomatch tellus won't.

interesting ............... similar issue here

I'm not a Soyl customer but we have a contracting TSP / MOP application job to do

the files sent for out x30's have some application maps sat outside the boundaries, some half in and half out and some ok and all within boundaries

Soyl don't seem to know why and initially blamed our hardware, we have spread thousands of acres this spring based on Rhiza and VRA maps from others and LH (our hardware supplier) say issue is the files

Operator is getting nowhere with Soyl helpline

Ahhh
Bout time soyl owned up to fecking up then.

Never had any issues till this year.
Someone has to have changed something

our issues don't sound quite the same but it could be the same issue or incorrectly ticked box causing it I guess

All I know is we cant spread for our customer right now

I’m not sure if it’s related but we have had a similar issue with Soyl vra seed maps. Applied via Topcon x30, we are able to set a default rate (usually average field rate). If we creep outside the marked boundary, for example where a field margin has been brought back into production, the drill reverts to the default rate for the field.

2 possible issues I can think of

Hardware has a setting saying don’t spread outside boundary. Our Agleader has this option
Or spreading files and/or hardware have a 0 default rate where no variable rate exists and variable rate cells are clipped at the boundary

RDS Isocan units default to zero outside the boundary too. Set an out of boundary/loss of GPS signal default rate.

I can't help with the Tellus but @Robt can advise on the X30. The boundaries are frequently set with low resolution GPS units so some drift may occur Most of my boundaries "shifted" when Gatekeeper switched from Google maps to Bing ones.

Sorry I I longer work for LH, however. On the x30 you can set a default rate as suggested by moretimeforgolf. I’m my experience soyl are very good and will normally make the map 120% size of the field so it goes well outside of the boundary . Speak to Richard (@drifter ) if he can’t fix it no one can!

If anyone would like to pm me their business details, @Clive your contracting job i will raise these as a matter of priority first thing in the morning when i am in the Newbury office. Our application files are not clipped to a field boundary therefore extend out very rarely inwards. If anyone has any screenshots/photos that would be a bonus.

Thanks - trouble is we are not the customer just contractor in this case so operator doesn't seem to be getting much help

I emailed support with some pics of the screen showing VRA map half on and half off out boundaries and others where it was all fitting perfectly inside boundary amongst the same files, its not a consistent error

I've tried a few things as has operator but still no joy - we have a load of Rhiza files to get spread at the moment but will need to do this job later this week

Not the best due to reflection I'm afraid.
But those boundary lines have never shown while doing anything variable rate before.
Flat rate yes, never variable rate..

I like the variable rate as it really does even the crop up and make for better protein

I’m using Soyl sense on some fields for variable rate n. I create the file then push it into gatekeeper then out to the sprayer controller which is a muller. First task when we get to a field is to delete boundary then create new on h/l run this saves any auto section switch off if we run outside imported boundary

My update.
Soyl are working hard trying to resolve this issue, it's still a mystery though. However in the meantime they're doing my vari rate N files with the P+K software which doesn't put boundaries on top of the layers of mapping. Fingers crossed it works and I can spread tomorrow because I want to be drilling Saturday.

Seems everyone is baffled by it, but working hard to try to keep me working thankfully.
