can you not just buy new complete ratchet straps, then you being a fish, you could take the bit off you need, and put the rest into the stores, and keep them in stock till about 2029 when you will need them bits to mend them again,

triggers broom springs to mind here :ninja::ninja: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Then be stuck with 20 ratchets, sans webbing. Mega!

I have lots of new ratchets but a don't like them - the release springs are very stiff and I'm incredibly weak (n)

Oil them, makes the world of difference
He oils them so much, that he has spent motre on oil than they cost in the first place.

On a serious note, do they not have a five year service life, a lot of webbing and rope based gear does, then opening yourself up to possible litigation in case of accidents. Or is that just LOLER items?

I don't think anyone will beat strapmaster.co.uk for price.

Our last order was
10x long handled ergo (pull down) ratchets with 600mm tail and standard claw fitting
10x 10m 5t strap with standard claw fitting

Was £90+vat and £15 carriage.
If I remember correctly ratchet tails were £3 last time I asked, brought complete ratchets instead.

@Andrew just googled the pull down ratchets as had never heard of them, what are they like to use?
