Need to get the post drilling glyphosate on quick then!
We did it pre drill here as thought it would grow fast and wanted to get as much workload out the way knowing the sprayer was about to get VERY busy !

What seed rate are you sowing them at?
Was 200kgs /ha and 150 L/ha of 26% n in the slot

What do you reckon that would equate to of N/ha, bearing in mind it’s concentrated in the slot?
Well it’s just under 40kgs of 140kgs total I will give this crop
No idea how more efficient it is i the slot vs on top though

I would think it will be very efficient this year . Our red clay has gone from wet to brick hard in no time, with a bit of heat and never ending drying wind. Some N in the slot compared to lying on the top will make a huge difference.

we have barley up in the rows drilled Monday up in rows by Saturday
the higher soil temperature for later drilling does help
but a cold week wet at the end of april did not help newly planted crops on wetter heavy land
lighter land planted 4 days earlier only slowed slightly
planting a week later or more when dryer will be better crops
14 mm last night so no worry of dry soil this year
rape losing flowers here and wheat starting flag leaf emergence so harvest will be spread out unless august is very hot and dry not had one of those for a few years
