Pick Up Flatbed

Currently looking to buy a new flatbed trailer to tow behind an izuzu pickup.
currently been looking at a ifor williams 16ft and a brian james 16ft.
any advice/ views/ good and bad points on either would be alot of help
thanks

I wouldn't look any further than GE, but then they are local to me. Very pleased with our 14ft triaxle cattle trailer.

Graham Edwards for my money. Everything about them is just nicer and better made and finished.
And they have proper ratchet strap mounting points.
And you can get the ramps out without trapping fingers.
And the suspension is stronger and doesn’t deafen you

Brian James is certainly better finished than the equivalent IW and quiet to tow, inboard strap mounting holes and the "drawbar" I think is longer than the IW.

Ifor williams are simple, possibly a little crude, and the suspension will rattle like heck when unloaded.
But they are indestructible, and hold value like nothing else.
My ifor rattling irritates me some days, but my trailer has far outlasted a much lighter used and never abused Graham Edwards of a relation of mine.

A couple of people I have spoken to that have had IW for years reckon the latest ones have thinner chassis's. The IW's use leaf springs and I think all the BJ's are indespension types, depends what you want to transport.
