Replacing last harvests damaged sheets. Not one of my favourite jobs to do solo. I do enjoy the view though.

Don’t know if the old ones had blown away but I’ve found it’s easier to slide the new sheet up over the old sheet and then pull the old from underneath. Then you don’t have to keep jumping the new sheet over purlins

Harvest assistant put the trailer auto tailgate up against the wooden purlin mainly cracking the sheets. Bodged with flash band until now.

Witnessed a gang of roofers from Essex overcladding industrial units in West Bromwich when I collected the sheets this morning. They were all just walking over the old asbestos sheet roof and dropping the cladding bars as they went. I couldn’t believe it nor could the chap who loaded me at the warehouse. They were all hauled down by H&S official yesterday for various non compliance’s too. I might not use proper crawling boards but I do use a 20’ ladder which spans several purlins and is securely tied. I don’t fancy trying to bounce off concrete as it would more than likely look like a jam sandwich

I hse pulled them off yesterday I’m surprised they’re back today, Be prison time going bosses way if they still haven’t done what hse asked and they’re back at work
