Harder 750a discs

You do not want the boots to start wearing so dont let discs get too small. The Yanks swear that performance is compromised.at sub 17" i tend to run to 16.5 ish.

I found Apm discs not to last quite as long. I think for an extra tenner id keep genuine for the moment until we can get one of these aftermarket guys to supply Bellota
Bellota will not supply.

APM said they are going to exactly copy the profile and bevel from the genuines, so any comparisons need to wait until they are available, impossible to compare otherwise.

Important to note that these are supposedly not the same as a vanilla APM disc, they are meant to be harder.

So in the meantime I suppose we'll have to order another set of JD discs for this spring and do the same experiment again with a few new APM ones. Any idea on price difference between JD and APM discs?

It’s not really surprising those apm ones are a larger diameter than the jd ones after use. The John Deere ones have a much sharper bevel so less metal thickness to wear away than the apm ones.
I’ve only used jd ones and the original set lasted 400ha on a 4m machine to wear down to almost spot on 17”.

Unfortunately they still haven’t got the profile the same as OEM, the bevel is about 13mm compared to 18mm
