Not been well so ened up last minute BPS form filling.

Looking in messages when logged in and tons of field changes.
looked at maps and details and all sorts of shite!
2 fields been made into 1
lot of fields suddenly have 0,01 perm grass bits??
all ineligible features I removed in past now been put back into field size such as tracks.

rang RPA about it.
said they been improving accuracy and bollox.
explained what they done was wrong.
only way to correct is form filling for me.
WTF should I have to correct their friggin mistakes?/
WTF don't they ring you first before change stuff to make sure they got it right/wrong??

the 2 fields to 1 has a hedge and track between them.
been 2 fields since time began.
you can see hedge and track on their own map!

complete friggin numptys.

All I do now is claim for eligible area that is still there in the map, even though the map is bollox. So if they have merged two fields just split it into parts and claim etc. Claim for all the bits of PP etc. I too haven't time to fill in loads of RLE1 forms to correct THEIR mistakes.

It's appalling. Every time I hear that Mr Gove spout about what he is going to do I think of this shambles. Ultimately he is responsible and if he can't even get the basic rights or he is so stupid as to have permitted automatic hedge mapping or can't see it needs rectifying urgently then my faith in him taking agricultural policy forward is zero. Until he sorts out the basics then he just a gob on a stick I'm afraid.

Well, what do you suggest they should have dome with the inmates when they closed the lunatic asylums and returned them to the community?

Now, I'm off back to the thread where they seem to be saying you include vertical cliffs in your BPS claim.... Somebody has to tell them the emporer isn't wearing a stitch.;)

I've never bothered arguing with them.
I just accept their bollox, (It is their bollox and not mine all said and done), file my claim and collect as I pass go on December 1st.
Why wait for a couple of extra quid the next June, if your lucky, and have that massive fight in the meanwhile?
Life's tooooooooooo short.

Amen brother. If they invited us to a party in a brewery I’m certain we would all go home sober

After a lot of time and correspondence they finally called me.
"Sorry Mr Altraids but we appreciate there is a problem but we do not have the time or staff to work out our mistake. If you could send us the information showing where we have gone wrong we will correct it for you."
How the hell can you tell where they've gone wrong when they won't provide you with any information!!!!. All you get is a statement with a value on it.

I am not quite sure what will happen when they come out to inspect and can't find all the parcels of permanent pasture and scrub land that they created and what they will say about the hedgerows they omitted from the map, but really that is their problem to sort out. The maps were accurate before they started meddling.

If only they checked with the farmer before making changes or better still just left things alone, then we wouldn't have quite so many problems now. It's as simple as that. You really do wonder about the capabilities of their management.

The hidden agenda with all of this is that they are creating a big brother style surveillance system for every square metre of land in the country. Every old bush will be on the database and will probably have more rights to life and take priority over the farmer and his need to make a living. It's a kind of nationalisation of "environmental assets" as they call them. The State encroaches ever deeper into our lives.

I’ve given up chasing almost 5 ha of payments that disappeared under the 2015 debacle simply because of the time and stress involved trying to deal with stupid people who haven’t a clue what they’re doing and plainly don’t give a toss about you or your farm.

Just been to do mine, last minute I know but usually doesn't take long. They seem to have wiped off all bar two of our fields and showing that I have 0 entitlements. Guessing a long phone call tomorrow am.

Think I've sorted it out, phoned at 8-30am and was on hold until 10-30!
I spent 20 minutes on hold the other month and got through to someone who couldn't tell me anything, including how to contact anyone who would know - this was about the 30% of the last years sub that didn't turn up due to them losing my fallow and a large area of other land - not that I am still bitter and twisted or anything.

....and they wonder why I don't claim. I'd need a lot more than what's offered to put up with that level of stupidity.

On R4 Farming this morning, I heard some government committee or other has concluded that RPA is not fit for purpose -- and it's going to get worse after brexit!

Good luck!

Any one worse than me?
Just submitted my claim at 23.52.
And I'm still not happy with some of it.
In all the years of IACS, SFP etc I've managed to get to grips with the form and sent it in confidently. Not this year!
Couldnt work out how to add a catch crop to the efa or how to remove a bean crop from it.
Will just about scrape through with 5% greening as long as they accept my hedge mapping version as opposed to their absolute shite effort. How the hell can they mark halfway up a hedgerow and then stop for 100m and then start again. The hedge is the same from one end of the field to the other.
Can I alter the form after tomorrow without penalty or is it so much deduction per day?
