The terms of the trade you did before was unilaterally decided by you. You benefited. The other poor sods (former colonies) and common wealth members benefitted to a far, far less degree if at all.
That day is over. Now you get to sit at the table and negotiate. The others around the table, ain’t tipping their hat no more. In fact, if your Mujahadeen Freedom Fighters in Westminster crash you out of the EU with no trade deal, you will be so fukkkked and desperate for trade with others, they will sit back, string you out and drive a brutal bargain.
More pointless drivel ,what is our trade deficit with the eu?

Oh..... that’s another red herring.
40% of UK’s total exports go to the EU.
8% of EU’s total exports go to the UK.

Did you know that? Or did you just swallow the funny numbers thrown out by the Mujahadeen??

Another way of looking at it.

UK exports to EU averaged over past decade equate to 12% to 15% of UK economy.

EU exports to UK over same time frame equate to 4% of EU economy.

Was there no room on the red bus to get those facts on there ... even in small font???

But when most of it goes to Ireland, the burden will be on the Irish to make concessions on the border the most, as you say, the EU as a whole sends bugger all here, but you do, you send alot here, so if the EU puts up barriers at it's border, you're going to be stuffed, arnt you? like it or not you're next door and trade is mostly regional, we send more to Ireland than we do China, so you're stuck in the boat with us, chump.

Whole point being the British voters were taken in by the three card tricksters Farage et al. It’s a complete lose lose game. Except of course for the wealthy who have the ways, means and connections to not alone protect their wealth, but indeed profit from the carnage.

We've been here before... time for some education.

What does this graph tell you? and yet you insist of thinking UK opinion was only changed by Farage offering greener grass.

It's not project fear, it's project fact.

People can read the Daily Mail and pretend all they want, but the truth is Berxit will cost the country dear. Change costs money and jobs, whether it a business or a country.
Sometimes it is necessary to take action and and make changes in order to save the country further degradation. It may not be comfortable to be forced from your home when the house catches fire but it is the preferred option.

The latest BMW saga is interesting. A friend has a Merc about five years old. Recently all the lights failed so had an unsceduled stop over before taking the car to the nearest dealer. He had to shell out about £150 for a complete rear light cluster and labour for fitting and rewiring. The fault was well known throughout the trade and caused by below required spec common earth which had overheated. The dealer told him that all affected models in the US had been repaired and modified free of charge for fear of government reprisals. The poor UK customer had to foot the bill, presumably because our government cannot take such action for fear of upsetting the cosy EU club elite.
