Got a couple of toys for the infant:
All in all its just a cheerful show, noone gets any subsidies so everyone needs to make a shilling, people are friendly and stands have a budget to feed and water their customers.

Had a really nice day at the show. Can only echo the comments above, it was a really friendly show with a nice atmosphere. And the best food was at Fairburn Eggs!

I managed to collect a few new TFFEr faces to handle names today and I think I know who you are
Very pleased with the show footfalll yesterday particularly and a lot of press attention today with the new product features.
It’s also a very friendly and easy show to work. We managed to take the stand down and walk it to the van and pickup in an hour and a half and the M6 behaved itself for once

This was a great innovation I saw there:
I went on Tuesday and it was OK, very specialised though. I thought there was very little for those looking to get into the industry, only saw one stand actively advertising new contracts and they were not interested due to location. Food and drink was expensive (but when isn't it at shows?) Plenty of freebies if you were a customer though. It was very very busy, and those i spoke too who have diversified into poultry thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Great that the event was free to enter but unfortunately (as someone outside the industry) i'd rather of stayed at home and done something constructive.
Well, we are outside the industry and found no end of people who were actively looking for new producers albeit in the east of England, and who were happy to tell us about what was involved; supply chains; etc. And most of the stands serving food were happy to feed us even though we werent customers. Certainly didnt pay for any food. Some of the gear was pretty uninteresting but we got all the info we needed and a whole host of people I expect to be calling us next week.

That's a great shame. If you'd come to the Quality Equipment stand, I'd ply you with free tea, coffee, beer and with no obligation. There were several seniors from B&B contracting companies who were frequently on the stand (two who are actively seeking farmers in Wales).

Many with free ice cream to anyone (ie stall facing the aisle not at the back of the stand), bacon sandwiches, all manner of chocolate and sweet treats
I apologies if my post came across negative about the event which it was not intended too at all (i was just trying to be open and honest). It was a very well run show with ALOT to see and I made sure i went around it all even though the majority of the stands i just did not understand due to my own ignorance of the poultry and pig sectors and what is involved (equipment, chemicals etc etc). I went up with someone who is in egg production and this was my main focus of the day. Due to my own circumstances, i was interested to learn/get involved with the organic egg side of things (which i suppose is more of a niche in itself). I did briefly visit the QE stand as my wife's uncle is new to the pig industry ( i believe he had his kit supplied by QE). Thank you for your offer @JP1 i would certainly be interested to find out more.
