I don't doubt it. We were talking about this today. Our current one is 2m and we think that's the best size for us. 2m seems to get nicely to the bottom of the typical Suffolk ditch. We were a bit worried about the bigger ones on a 105hp tractor when it gets a bit near the ditch -- i.e. risk of capsizing.

Weaving do an Agrimaster (Italian import I think) Z linkage mower like Dave W's machine above, I bought the 2.8 metre version for tidying my estate, nothing stops it, they go as far as 3.6 metre on a Z linkage but I thought it would be too much on a Z linkage , in it's 4th season now without problem

I had a good look around Cereals a few years ago at flail toppers and the TMC was the best as it’s built for forestry, the main problem was Spaldings were selling it!

Thanks. Need something that's more suitable for 105-130hp tractor so the next (or next but one) model down is probably more suitable with a smaller head.

Bought this off someone on here. It will quite happily eat 3" black thorn if you steady at them. If you just want to tidy up the side of a hedge you can nip along quite quick, but you can really butcher them if you want. We had some huge hedges and this has really smashed em back. It will go into big stuff if you lower it into it and mill it away.
I had to put a front extension on it out of 6mm plate for doing hedges though as the offset and fact the flails spin upwards at the front meant it tended to shower the tractor in bits. After the extension it never does it.
