can't post the page from bbc news...but it says govt has accepted ammendment 'allowing the uk to replicate eu law made after brexit day and continue to participate in eu agencies'

no prob with agency bit (if eu want us to)....but 'replicating eu law'....kinda a red line to brexiteers i'dve thought
eu law has to be replicated because there isn't any other way of doing it. No government could rewrite every law in one day and we can't do without laws. It'll take years to rewrite all the laws, especially here in Northern Ireland where we won't have anyone to rewrite the devolved laws

i agree....replicate existing laws .....then if we want to change gradually we can.....but the statement infers we will automatically continue to 'rubber stamp' laws made in EU after we've left.....thats not on IMO

I haven't read the article but I'd assume there's more than just a bit of BBC remoaner bias.

This is pretty typical behaviour these days. The defeated attempting to claim victory when in fact that is nonsense. We will no longer be a member of the EU. That is what we voted for. What we choose to do then is up to the government of the day but all we voted for is to leave and leave we will.

The remain camp gloating over any concession in the negotiation and claiming that ALL leave voters wanted a hard Brexit, whatever that is are just making fools of themselves. They are chasing shadows.

We are leaving the EU. That is what we voted for. That is what will happen.

It's the principle. Future governments may have more balls than this one. Nothing is going to change overnight and anyone who thought it would is going to be disappointed. We are leaving the EU.

did you vote leave?....i did...but beginning to think like you

To late now. UK will leave EU. What terms and arrangements no idea. I was neutral at referendum. But am disappointed the leave folk seem to have not thought through what might happen. Hey ho.

To get an agricultural reply.

Seems a bit like like drilling a field of wheat and then after It emerges and has a week or twos growth phoning the agronomist to tell him you have drilled a field there is some blackgrass showing up can he sort it out. And then when he protests and says oh no if only I had known I would have insisted on pre drilling glyphosate and a full residual herbicide - but too late now and the only thing I can advise is post emergence Atlantis mixed with a residual and we see what happens - and the agronomist knows the result will be unsatisfactory and he will get the blame.

JRM has it all sorted out.

but we're not if we're just going to replicate future eu law automatically......it's our own govt f**king it up

Still cannot see why you make a fuss about that?! If we want to trade with this block of 350 million people the largest joint economy on earth - that we have chosen to leave - then surely following their rules is a no brainer. You can then have lots of other laws that you do like that are not EU law, provided I suppose they do not infringe the EU laws. So I do not know lets think of some new laws - we have JRM in charge so I suppose it might be that everyone has to wear a double breasted suit on Sunday afternoons and a trilby - there you are a dedicated UK law that the EU does not impose and has no say in. I am warming to this Brexit thing now I can see the positives.

Most major laws are the same the world over. Ie you can’t kill people, rape, steal etc.
The more minor laws were different anyway, ie speed limits.
Is there any law in particular you are getting bogged down about?

Wearing double breasted suits on a Sunday. Imperative we can implement such legislation. Oh and being able t secure a free trade deal with Papua New Guinea.

well canada has a trade seal with EU and i don't think they'll be replicating EU law verbatim ......i guess i must be hard brexit or no brexit:scratchhead:

Yep, no probs. Oh and not only sovereignty you can regain Norfolk for true six toed folk and stop these lithe sexy looking Latvians coming to Attleborough to work in the veg fields turning the heads of the local true Norfolk bred yokels!! Oh, what Is that I saw the home secretary now saying we must change Mrs Mays rules to allow more immingrants in - I can see today Mr Javid will be sent to the tower - treason, off with his head.

Best wishes. I am in jocular form this morning. Nice and sunny and saw some excellent sugar beet yesterday where the Broadacre herbicide has cleaned up nicely a huge weed burden. Best wishes,
