This rather nice unit has come up in Angus https://www.onthemarket.com/details/5156236/
Ex dairy farm and with some livestock and a sensible rotation will be in good heart.
Would like to buy but not brave enough at moment
Interestingly the unit to west sold in Autumn 2017 similar money. As a pair would have made a great 950 acre unit.
More on the market in area aswell and probably more to come in next 3-4 years, will sit on hands for time being.

This might be a stupid question but why so many good farms coming up for sale?

In this case it is that they have no one wishing to farm behind them and they wish to retire. Fairly common in this area.
Each and every farm sale has a story behind it that is unique but many have the common thread, succession.

A couple of weeks ago there were 6 farms on the market within 5 miles of here, but a couple are supposed to be sold now. Mr Day isn’t interested in the crap land we farm:)
