Think there was one at the Bishops Lydeard national ploughing match, if you can find a program. it may list the name.

Davies Implements Carmarthen used to sell Belcher Small Bale Loader which attached to side of trailer for working in the field and it had an inline hitch for attaching to tractor for road transport . Gareth Davies used to Demonstrate them fitted to the side of a Land Rover . It was probably easier to guide the Bales into the loading chain than fixed to trailer!!!!

There were two types, one was as said a small elevator running alongside the trailer. There were at least a couple of companies made them. Then there was one like a ferris wheel where spikes took the bale up.

Didn't fergie have one that threw a bale in the air to hopefully land in the trailer
Yes there were two takes on this forgot the one which spooned up the bale alongside the tractor and chucked it back, but of course there were also bale throwers on the back of balers which chucked them in a cage towed behind.

There was a firm in Co Kilkenny , Kilkenny Products , long closed ,who made a tractor mounted bale elevator in the mid to late 1970s. Their main business was manufacture and erection of farm buildings , but they were very sucessful with their 10 x6 and 12 x 7 tipping trailers which could have low , grain or silage sides.
I only ever saw 1 of their elevators . Fitted to an MF 65. From memory , you had to place the bale on the chain manually . It may have been driven by a hydraulic motor , but it's over 35 years ago since I saw it sold for £400 in a clearance sale.
