Found an item on German ebay I am interested in. Is it a similar minefield to uk ebay and if so is there any clues in the listing which would make you suspicious. Article number is 20002317. Have purchased on ebay.de in the past and only had one potentially dodgy deal when they refused to accept a direct bank transfer even though the listing said they would.

Well the seller only has a history of selling video cameras although they have 100% good feedback for this.

They did sell a manual for a baler in the last year. Its cash on collection only and seller may not ship to UK .

Its a bit odd but could be ok - i'd search for other copies of the pictures online to see if they have copied from somewhere else.

Note that ebay payment protection does not apply to this transaction - you need to decide if its worth a sightseeing trip to Beinhausen if it goes wrong.

English not spoken - so hope your German is up to scratch or good at hand signals.

Mrs N has bought shoes from eBay.de without any problems. Your seller looks to have very good feedback, and some in english. It's down to the individual not Ebay at the end of the day.

Do UPS deliver balers?

Too much p!ssing about even if genuine.

Trouble is there getting harder to find. A conventional square baler jumps down the hillside. been there got the T shirt. Inline baler no good as I dont have ground clearance and if I did have ground clearance I would be to chicken to drive up the slopes. I have a mini round baler for the flatter slopes but its just not practical on the steep slopes.

I must admit I have never seen one but it must be old. One on youtube powered by a mini tractor. Why do they drop the bale from such a high point? Were they designed to pull a trailer for collection? You said you have not the ground clearance for an ingine. Could you.not fit some kind of light roll on the front of the tractor?

Have seen two designs for them. One with a chute to put the bales straight into a trailer the other directs the bale behind the tractor so its not in the way for the next row. I could use an inline with an elho rake but thats getting very expensive for the few bales I do.

Used to be a few of these in norfolk, the bunches were popular for strawing sugar beet clamps. They were even fitted to combines at one time

Was that not the press balers which made a long bale but tied cross ways rather than a conventional baler which ties lengthways. This in theory produces a conventional bale.

I had quite a few things over the years from Germany and other European countries on Ebay without any problems. Most times they arrive just as quick, as if you are buying within the uk.

Never had a problem before but think she might of had her mind on other things as she flew out to Bulgaria later in the day
