It's been in the news for ages as it keeps getting a stay of execution, the cancer thing has been out for a few years now. All I'm saying on it is that there seems to be two sides to every story, and most thing are carcinogenic if tested, used sensibly there's nothing wrong with it.

I think it was in the link I posted above that a wife was saying how her husband had been using round-up a lot, for decades, right up to his death and she thought it was awful that he didn't realise it was doing him harm.Made me chuckle.
I'd imagine it would be as hard to prove it does as it is to prove it doesn't.

Cigarettes have been proven to cause cancer, but they still produce and sell those!

I'm no expert on the US legal system but my understanding is this was a preliminary hearing deciding if there was enough evidence with a number of cases to allow a jury trial. Some of the cases were thrown out as not having proper evidence, others were allowed through. Those cases mainly presented the IARCs work. The judge described this evidence as 'shaky' but allowed it to progress.

So we await the trial.

This is the American legal system not the representative assemblies.

Strange things can happen in the courts of the most litigious country in the world. That's why you sometimes see take away cups of coffee that warn you the coffee might be hot.

Guy, I’m hoping you’ll remember where this happened but it was an interested read.

Last year I remember reading somewhere I think about allowing GM to be legal in the EU and they quoted in the trial how many tonnes of sweet corn you’d need to eat for a thistle/nettle to die from your urine. Basically you couldn’t digest the tonnages they were on About but your urine would kill the plant within a few days/week anyway (y)
