Currently suffering from the above. No real idea how i did it. Dosed up on painkillers to little effect. Any suggestions of ways to speed up the healing process and how to relieve the pain so i can get on with stuff?

Currently struggling/am unable to even operate tractor spool levers etc!

Is the muscle over the top of the shoulder? If so try not to repetitively use the particular movement that hurts....... easier said than done!

Also hold the bottom of a stick vertically with the good arm, grip higher up with the bad arm and relax it. Use the good arm to move the stick in circular motions to excercise the damaged shoulder without further damaging it. The bad shoulder must be relaxed as the good arm does the work. Aids healing and mobility.

I sympathise with you. Did the same about a month ago. Still feel a bit off walking down the field. Pain killers were useless and I took to my bed for a couple of days.

Sorry, not what you wanted to hear.:( But they're right. You need to rest. Pain is Nature's way of telling you to slow down.

I tore my rotator cuff 15 years ago. I manned up and got on with it. HUGE mistake.
After a month I got it looked at, had left it too long, still weak to this day. I also damaged the other shoulder abusing it to do my work
Go see a pysio, pay for one to get started soonest, to reduce the long term damage.
I've torn both of mine, rest is the only cure, cutting out the tasks/actions that caused them is the only prevention.

Did mine a fortnight ago when I got knocked over trying to load an uncooperative half blind bullock. The black eye has gone but I still can't sleep on my right side.

Rest, anti-inflamatories, see if the doc will give you some proper strength ibuprofen gel and get to a physio.

Update. Doctor gave me some stronger happy pills and physio to do. Arm isn't perfect but at least it works. That will do me.
