never took my exams, so its safe to say i am the worlds greatest mathematician, right up to the point that i am asked to prove it.
been up all night trying to work out how cheap i can add air brakes to tractor.
so far going new its compressor and brake valve for 130, tank free, need fittings that may come off scrap trailer,
pipe havent priced up yet, likewise the connectors, might need a proportional valve.
looking like £200 all up might do it. got a fresh tractor that needs doing coming.
just need to find out how much air each application of brakes uses on a triple axel trailer.

if i can get it right there might be enough willing to pay £400 for a kit.. that will pee off all those with air trailers that feel safe from neighbours wanting to lend

Interesting idea, what sort of compressor are you going for?

having been pestered for a drill for the workshop i splashed £59 for drill recip sawall, vib saw/sander,
2 amp bat and charger, first play and i is impressed. most times its looking for the tool that takes the time rather that actually drilling a few holes.
for longer jobs i have the battery that came with the hedge trimmer, that is a revalation, makes the amount of power we use for cutting a bit of weed and brambles look
completely nuts

When i am towing a 40 ft on a dolly i like to plug the dolly brakes into a spool,
on long hills the speed can be adjusted with a bit of care, thus saving the tractor brakes,
easy to do , but impossible to explain the concept to normal folk.
anybody that ran a fergy with pressure control might understand the concept
Some will you just use that for the air suspension?

the guy on exmoor i knew just filled his airtanks at the yard in the morning and that lasted all day for suspension,
i want the brakes as well, already got one tractor on air, no way i is going to spend 10000 on converting the other 5,
but a couple of humdred on each will be doable. my problem is i have a person here with a"cant do that, wont work " attitude to everything i suggest.
cant understand it, he has inherited everything thats bad about his mother and combined it with my worst failing

i am amazed that no one has ever developed a transformer to run cordless tools on a 240v lead when jobs are by a plug and then it wouldn't matter whether it was 2ah or 9ah

I’m tempted to buy one of them and fit a tank to my tractor it would be handy for blowing up tyres and blowing radiators out if nothing else

One of the things that swayed the sale of many a zeteor and belarus was the inclusion of an onboard compressor.
Often at he start of harvest the zeteor would be the saught after tractor in the field, all singing and dancing state of the art tractors purchased with massive repayment plans,
the driver would sigh with relief at the sight of the humble zipper with its airline and able to blow a radiator or fuel line and even pump up a tyre

been having "discussion" retired with a local about wether quality now is just an "i just Want the best" or, "i need the best because of the amount of use/abuse i give my tools".
I have spent less on equipeing my indoor workshop than he has spent on a set of quality chisels.
This has led me to dangerous thinking, particularly about the hedge trimmer, we currently run 2 flail trimmers on 6 cylinder tractors to do what used to be done by an old finger beam trimmer on a 35, WHY is the question

i havnt been looking at the 1/2 impact since i got mine and perhaps you've done homework on it, but just in case be careful, last time i looked there was about a half a dozen different specs of the same looking gun so maybe have a look at milwaukee's site and find the gun that best suits your needs and then go and compare prices to see whats the best value in that part # of the one you choose.
