Would you not bring them back. Maybe get your old ones done up.
Been welding the old ones for ten years plus! Felt it was time to treat the thing to a new pair, more so due to the likely conditions to be encountered this year. It may well be that these shares are a good copy of a later/ earlier KV share, which I have had no knowledge of, that was the main reason for the post.I do know of a pair of unused genuine ones, if I can borrow one of those, I will check and if needed correct my welding fixture, and cut these pattern ones back to fit.

If these are the same ones as I think they are you will need a bit put onto the land side down near the tip of the point. Also you might have to grind a bit off along where it sits with the board. Can't figure out how they would be made wrong but th e re you go.
Lead to land is ok at the point, but they are about a quarter of an inch proud of the board edge, but point is much further forward, as is the cutting edge of the share. To thick in mouldboard area, but thats a simple grinding job.If all goes well, I will be trying them out on Sat.

they are not far from me ,had a look and would be fine for commercial work ,wouldn't do for match ploughing tho .murphys are out of stock with 3 yrs
Looks like a share and wing welded together to me, what price are they?
I had some years ago, made by Wade I believe. Point was a flat plate welded on to the top of the wing. Plough went into the ground, but was all down hill from there!
Pan Anglia made some in the mid to late 70’s in a similar configuration. Waste of time even for commercial work. Original KV shares had no landside and worked fine. PA shares despite the landside, had far too big a wing, undermined the furrow wall no matter how the disc was set and drove the plough relentlessly to land.

Anybody know where these replicas were made. Surely somebody can make a better one similar to the original
