Reporting a moderators post

I did just that yesterday
I didn't really expect it to be excepted being about a moderators post well posts actually and it was just as much my advice on what would be the best way to deal with a situation as it was a complaint and I know that my advice in this instance is most likely only worth what was paid for it but it would have been nice if the reply I got was not from the moderator whose post I made the report about, from this I can only presume that it was that moderator that dealt with it,
is this the norm when a report is made about a moderators post that the moderator in question deals with it ?

Just to add to this I am not looking to fall out with anyone by starting this thread just highlighting a possible weakness in the report post system that is supposed to be there for us all to use if we feel it necessary, unless moderators are deemed infallible and always capable of self governance in use of TFF in which case I suppose am highlighting a problem which isn't there

I have no idea about identity but would advise consideration about staffing numbers and relationships. Natural justice requires independent jurists but, other than a referral to another mod' (on the same team), the options for this are limited on TFF.

Mod's are human too, well, some of them... one of them... maybe... and so occasional lapses of judgement and in standards are only to be expected and tolerated. It's just the price we have to pay for having such a wonderful forum.

Well I can advise you never to make a complaint against a police officer as the procedure will leave you dumbfounded.

You should read some of the reports. Actually I’ve written long PM’s to 3 folks

It’s a Bank Holiday and my only chance to collect up my cattle ready for testing tomorrow

no need to work on my little problem of a bank holiday
something to think about while your testing, "should moderators be responsible for moderating themselves"
mull it over
good luck with the test (y)

When you call you can give me the benefit of how you would have dealt with the original post - and why
