i havnt been looking at the 1/2 impact since i got mine and perhaps you've done homework on it, but just in case be careful, last time i looked there was about a half a dozen different specs of the same looking gun so maybe have a look at milwaukee's site and find the gun that best suits your needs and then go and compare prices to see whats the best value in that part # of the one you choose.
Seems to be the one with enough power for farm stuff.

Where did you buy it? Really fancy one of those. My old two stroke is a fickle ill running thing, and I'm fed up of it.
eBay.com and the company I dealt with had postage and customs price. Have to say it's a really good bit of kit. I am not one for trimming garden hedge but was cutting the grass and saw it could do with a tidy up and no messing about jobs done.
Did buy it for my wife for mother's Day but she was not overly excited by it.
I reckoned she always buys me crap for my birthday etc that she actually wants like art and stuff. Even though I always say I would like tools. Funnily enough when we were going out she bought me a seriously good sds Hitachi 28v which I still have.

it should be good enough then so, mines about 12-16 month old now but by the way they came out with different models it id be old school now, iirc there is only one or two numbers/letters that actually change in the models, its got two speeds one isnt worth much and the other is full tilt.
since i bought the smaller version of it in 1/2" the bigger gun only gets used for the bull work and its well up to it, indeed they both have retired the cp air guns i have, which is something i never thought would happen tbh.
the no lead/air line concept is a joy now a days.

been having "discussion" retired with a local about wether quality now is just an "i just Want the best" or, "i need the best because of the amount of use/abuse i give my tools".
I have spent less on equipeing my indoor workshop than he has spent on a set of quality chisels.
This has led me to dangerous thinking, particularly about the hedge trimmer, we currently run 2 flail trimmers on 6 cylinder tractors to do what used to be done by an old finger beam trimmer on a 35, WHY is the question

You seriously want to go back to a 35 and Teagle Siver Bullet finger beam trimmer?
I always knew the water was funny your side of the river :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

well, work it out, £100 would run the trimmer over a fair farm, 1 hyd pump will be the equilavant to 5 years trimming.
i been using a battery trimmer in the garden, its been a real wakeup call on what we need v what we think we need.
i recently asked a price to look at borehole pump, it was 10 times to look at it compared to buying a new solar powered setup
capable of going down 200 feet
Somehow we have let costs run wild and think there is no alternative.
icopied somebodies idea and put wheels under my battery trimmer, it hasent half set off a train of thought. this place was run with 4 standards and a tvo nuffield plus a couple of cart horses.
the work was done and the farm paid for 4 at private school.
now there is a 7710, 6920, 6630, 6620, 6610, a 6 cylinder ford, a 4 cylinder ford, 2 telehandlers,
2 bunning spreaders the list goes on and on and i is informed there is a 6 meter grassland drill awaiting collection, all to essentially do the same work that was done years before, made a big mistake in going to look at a machhine, chap said he would pull it out to see.
got talking, he had bought a baler, hitched it up to tractor 4 years ago and thats how it stayed,
same with the machine we went to look at

Best go to Mole Valley and buy up half a dozen prongs for picking up all the hedge pairings. Good luck finding volunteers to drive the prongs :ROFLMAO::p

why woulld you bother to pick it up.
a run round in spring to kill the brambles, after that you are only being OCD about the job unless you want to cover up the mangle cave

Granfer always had the pairings picked up, he liked a tidy farm :p(y)

PS while you’re at it I should sell that JCB handler that loads the dungspreader. You can use the prongs to load it that you bought for the hedgepairings. (y)
Now we are really making some savings.

have to get me still back in operation, i used to distill some proper moonshine
lucky barsteward, my cupboard is bare, or will be in a few miniuts. still tis a night for celebration, got some of me guns back on tuesday. the incompetance of the firearms dept is actually so bad its dangerous.lucky for them their performance is measured against the cops who really are the dreggs of society who make them look like rocket scientists iin comparison, the property store is a tin shed on an industrial site, with a tin opener you could walk in and enpty the place.
put the scope back on the hmr, 5 shots , 5 bunnies, the old codger still got it. hah notification that me blue badge gonr through today so can now can park anywhere and offically allowed to be a c....t. i get to chose me new transport, wont have to tax it now on, think i can claim attendance allowance for a bird, plus other as yet unknown side benefits

Does anyone have the leaf blower ? I'm very tempted. For blowing down dusty sheds and machinery, not leaves.

Yes, I brought the HD leaf blower at the start of harvest. On a par with the petrol Stihl. Use it for sweeping up in the grainstore after loading grain, blowing balers out in the field etc. Very good - to the point I'm going to order 4 more for next year.
