i love dry weather however this is getting a bit ridiculous. we've had no more than 10mm in the last 6 weeks. everything is bone dry and osr is not growing. seem to miss every shower that comes.
Meanwhile in Cumbria we hardly had a dry day in August till 3 days right at the end, back to normal now and today's been wet all day.

Difficult to believe you are only 30 miles or so from me as we have had days of 35mm, 25mm, many day of 12mm +, and today we will make 15+ as it's still tipping it down now.

Nowt this week upto today other than a few showers. Yup think we have only had 3 days of 10mm+ since May 1 here and are at 96mm for the same period (44mm came on that crazy thunderstorm weekend end of July)

My old man always used to say we’d get weather effects from the US to over here 10 days later. I’m wondering if this is a winter occurrence or do I need to get on with cutting our late silage? Really wanted some sun on its back to stand up and grow but so far is lush and horrible for beef cows so was hoping for sun this coming week to liven it up but don’t want to miss a decent window.. South east btw (y)
