I used polysulphate last year for my sulphur requirements and really liked it. It was a nice even product that spread well.
I believe potash plus is polysulphate with added MOP to give a more equal ratio of S03 and K. I'm intending to use it this year on land that needs K to save a seperate with MOP.

I have used Polysulphate for the last 2 years. I can buy it in bulk and just chuck it on. With this and FYM/Digestate and gypsum and Calphos to break the locked up P I have managed without buying any traditional P or K to date.

How much a hectare do you put on? Can it be bought direct ?

I don't think you can buy it direct. i know someone who is trying. Although in the past local farmer prices out of Boulby were dearer than from the merchant. Have got mine from Armstrong Richardson and apply at about 125/200 kg/ha.I suppose it will depend on what your land needs? Have you tried Gypsum?

All cereals and beet get 125kg/ha
Osr gets 250kg/ha
In the spring just before first top dressing. It's supposed to be available after a week or so but last all season long to drop feed the crop with sulphur.

Thought about it for years but, I like to put stuff on myself then I know it is right. Granulated Polysulphate sounds like it might be self spreadable.looked at that recycled plasterboard stuff up Winston way,but I have nowhere to tip artics over winter to get it free.And there again,is it as usefull as supposed to be?

You can get the Winston stuff delivered on T & T (not free you need to pay transport) or even collect if you have an easysheet. Polysulphate is very spreadable but if you're on the same hy Mg soils as me won't do the same job.
Does Gypsum work? It's hard to tell, Land is definitely working more easily but that could be due to going 'no plough' and also the year. I aim to stick with it and have also used Kalphos this year.
I will know better in a few weeks when I start soil sampling.

I am sure gypsum would help and I would look at Kalfos and Ca lime if you need any, but if you're like me you won't need a lot.

The best stuff I used was Calcified Seaweed,many years ago, but of course the seaweed huggers got that job stopped. That was in the late 70`s when I found out that putting mag lime on was worse than doing nothing. then found out could get Calcium lime from Middleton in Teesdale.Used that prilled bagged stuff last time I needed lime (rather expensive though)
