Quite pleased with these homebrew lambs, seem to be growing quite well. 9 weeks or so. Never really had much to do with texels and big bums so they look shapey to this Kiwi.

In the plan is to have one paddock deferred grazing "taken out" if you like, right the way through. I am going to get onto a couple of covercrops so that will help manipulate things maybe. And I have a bit assigned for silage as well.What's the plan if it gets too stemie as in how far will you let it go before you take it out as surplus.

It is indeed. It isn't that I'm not ambitious, but I am really content, I have a lot of things to potter away at but it is already working.bloody good when your happy with what you got isn't it

Looking at putting in a real short-term cover as mentioned above, mustard buckwheat radish and a brassica at least
Toying with phacelia as well but just looking at seed costs and availability of all these things.
