The existing TFF classifieds system is going to be taken down and sent to the scrap bin it belongs in next week and replaced by something new and shiney !

To achieve this classifieds will be closed from Monday morning until Friday evening

all existing adds ( well anything less than 3 months old) will be imported to the new system so don't worry about any recent adds you may have going missing and they will still be viewable in the threads created in the for sale forum

................wish us luck !

that looks well to be honest. A lot better than all the MM wear stuff that was on before. Only thing is if i were interested in that tractor i'm not going all the way to somalia to meet the seller

Agreed. But if you look at the full listing page, it's a bit jarring seeing Front Tyre % Wear, then under it the word left. Where Front tyre condition and Rear tyre condition would be simpler.

Would be good to have the browse by category section from the main page at the top of the search page. So people can quickly jump to a category without having to either type/select something in the search box or go back to the home page to select a category.
Yes that's another good idea as current way is a bit long winded.

Nothing on a website should be more than three clicks away for good design!
Needs to be idiot proof as well. Took me a bit of head scratching to work it out in the beginning. I know i'm a bit useless with computers but i'm sure i'm not the only one who needs stuff to be idiot proof.

Would be better like this.

Obviously not every choice on the eBay version would be relevant but it is in much simpler clearer English

You can do that by just selection the category you want to browse in the quick search

Would be good to be able to sort ads by location as well.

on any result page you have 3 display options

Grid view (default) List (gets more on page) or by location

If you select location it will take you to a screen that shows all machines listed by location (unfortunately right now however it thinks everything is near Somalia ! thats a bug we are currently working on and this feature did work well before launch so no idea what we did that broke it yet !)

don't think its a browser issue and use two different ones here, do think they have a category filter on websites so maybe falls into that.
