I put my Thermals on yesterday, they really are good at keeping one warm.
Do many of you wear Icebreaker thermal underwear,as if you don’t I can thoroughly recommend them, expensive but well worth the money if you work outside,or in a cold damp workshop.

I’ve never had any Icebreaker thermals; they’d have to be good for the money!
In cold weather I use new Army Surplus stuff - cheap as chips and it keeps you toasty warm:

I also use army surplus Combat Thermal Undershirts:

Like a thin very warm fleece, with the zip designed so it doesn’t dig into your chin when it’s up.

Many thanks, I will give them a try. I just do not understand why more people do not where Thermal underwear in winter to stop the “damp weather” making one feel cold.Especially when working on machinery and not moving much to keep oneself warm, bad enough having cold hands yet alone the rest of one feeling cold. How many farms have a large insulated, heated workshop,I doubt very many.

Was on holiday in Keswick this summer and bought a Devold ‘expedition’ 235g merino thermal top from the Norwegian store there, fantastic. Glad for it today
