Zero grazing.

Tried a grass tech and that’s all I’m going to say about that. Everyone I spoke to says the front mower cage idea is a recipe for grass to heat quicker due to more handling and damage of the leaf. A dedicated zero grazer is the best.

Have you got it? Is it good? The biggest issue with the grass tech is the mower
Yea I like it, no heavy drum start up load like the 7ft drum on the bonino we had, cuts wider than the width of the tractor which is great in wet conditions. Grass tech would try and tell you there is more heating with a disc mower over a drum but i never noticed much difference. What issues did you have with the grass tech mower?

The key way on the drive shaft is made from a cheese string. They have now updated the mower to a pz/Kuhn which will complete the machine, just in discussions as to who is paying how much for a retro fit one on ours. Had 4 mower rebuilds this year on ours. All under warranty. Wish I had a zg and never seen a grass tech, problem is zg know the downfalls and wont offer more than scrap money for it. It's a wicked thing to have in your arsenal for feeding cows, just needs to be more reliable.

ZG are a very well built machine, but Niall knows how to charge for parts and service. Have to agree Grasstech look like a light weight machine. Currently using a Belmac which would give a ZG a run for its money. Miachel at Belmac is very good and can build a machine to whatever spec required, also parts are very reasonable and can be got 24/7. But correct me if im wrong dont the all use Italian Gafale mowers ?

Yep that's the mower. The issue is where the drive connects to the mower, instead of a splined shaft it's on a key lock. Not sure who's design and if its grass techs design. Only real issue with the machine. It is very light weight but that's okay because it needs to float for the early late bite.

The bother I see with the pz is you’re going to be going back from a 7 and 1/2ft cut to slightly under 7ft.
You’re right, couldn’t do without one here.
