i purchased a 300t baler very cheap from the middle of a field that hadn’t been used for 2 years. Cleaned it off and apart from the end of the pickup reel rusted away, rest is in very good condition. Made up a sheet of metal to repair but not yet fitted.
I was more wandering if many had used these balers and what they were like? Narrow pickup but rest looks well made.

I’ll get a puc of mine up on here soon when i work out how. It’s only going to be used for working days but it is straight. I’m guessing about 64-65 the year?

We had exactly the same baler in AC colours, it was a very well made machine and the bales were very neat with deep grooves. However at the same time we had a Claas Maximum which, if you were to put both balers in the same field, would gobble it up at least a gear faster than the 'Allis' ever could.

Making the same quality of bale though?

In straw most definitely but l must admit we preferred The Allis for hay . If you mean weight well you could make the Claas bales like bricks if you liked......I well remember as a youth getting cursed for "Making the buggers too heavy".
