Feeling sick

Good.

Nicotine and caffeine as we all know are stimulants. The last thing the brain needs when it’s working overtime.

I stopped taking tea except for odd time when at friends house or something. Don’t know if it was the tea or the surrounding but by time I finished I was feeling sick and ready for home. Take maybe 1 cup of weak milky coffee now a day. Could do without it tho. But I find that if I make cup and I’m in house for that brief time I can’t be shouted at and told to get back outside

Hi will sorry to hear about your anxiety. It’s a terrible feeling. Have you gone to a counsellor. They can help you through your tough times and give you skills to spot anxiety approaching and deal with it before it gets on top of you. You could also download an app such as Digipill and put the earphones in and listen to it when you’re in bed. Tackle your feelings is another app/website to look at. Hope you feel better soon and fair play to you for discussing how you feel on this website.

Yeah have tried lots different counsellors over the years. Paid to go to a private one to. They helped for while when I was in the lower stage of panic but once it kicked into proper anxiety and sickness nothing worked. I always think of worse case then makes me get more anxious. Like now I’m worrying if I have to go dentist with sore tooth and I get a cold and I feel sick to start with and then dentist il just completely lose it and be stuck as I’d be in pain. I know a generally cold is nothing but for me it’s the same sickness as my panic so when I take one my mind gets confused between the two and then gets worse and end up being sick when there’s no need. Then it starts all over again till cold gone. I just need something to break that mindset :( sorry for waffling on

You’re not waffling. As you’ve said you’re seeing the worse side of things. Are a lot of your worries “what ifs “, if so they haven’t happened yet and may not happen. Try and focus on the positives you’ve had through out the day. Set your self little challenges every day,ie if you have a cold go to the local town and get your hair cut or do a shop and prove to your self that you can do these things and hopefully small steps will lead to bigger ones.

@will6910 Try to get involved in something practical - anything at all. It will help concentrate your mind away from your anxiety. Making or mending something is a great distraction. It will also help you to feel you've achieved something positive and give you confidence.

Not sure if anyone can help but I’m curious to settle my notion. I’m on 45mg mirtizphine. Think that’s how it’s spelt. Would taking a 5ml spoon full of diazepam of the 2mg strength react to the other medicine? Last time I took a spoon of it in spring I felt it made me go to floaty and took it at bedtime and couldn’t sleep whole night

I was given the diazepam years back and when got the new stuff asked if it’s safe to take it the regular medicine I take and said it was. Was just the last time I had notion it reacted. Unless doctors didn’t know themself sndnjust said I could take it anyway

When were you last with the doc. Go back and tell him/her the meds are not working and they may look at different meds for you. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think anxiety and panic attack’s lead to your body releasing adrenaline which makes your body go into a higher state and your thoughts then seem worse which makes you more anxious and that then leads to more adrenaline be released and so on , it’s a viscous circle. If you’re able to break that circle at the beginning of an attack hopefully you’ll feel better and be able to get on with your life and enjoy it again.

@will6910 a few things to try.
Exercise.
Meditation.
Herbal Teas.
Mindfulness.

Mindfulness is a really good one, if you make it work for you.Its kind of like paying more attention to the present moment – to your own thoughts and feelings, and to the world around you – it can improve your mental well being greatly.
It helps break "life" into manageable chunks, then you can sort those chunks into priorities.... putting yourself first where you can. (y)

Could you come out in the lorry a run some day even just sit there and don't speak to me

Thanks. I’m a terrible traveler. Far as I can go from home is about 10 mins. That doesn’t sound a lot but compared to when I was at my worse that’s progress. Where are u based ?
